The enemy within "story" takes place ~mid-late game.
It's because the all the new content is supposed to be there from the start. You can't have meld appear in middle of a game
New campaign is sort of "side-quest". The main storyline is still going on, but now you got this sideshow demanding your attention.
I'm curious to see how they will balance things out in the end. With things like meld, exalt, etc., it seems like there is going to be way too much going on. I already can't research all the stuff in the foundry. :\
Call it overpriced if you believe it to be, but don't call it fluff. =I
(Its not just "downloadable content" = dlc, dlc in general do not make changes to the game engine, so please refear to it as a expansion instead).
Honestly I feel bad the developers aren't charging another $50 for this. :\ But I know too many people are cheap and would rather spend that money on the next Bioshock game or something. >.>
I think the pricing is a simple cash grab on the part of the apparently greedy developers seeking to capitalize on the games unexpected popularity.
Go back to playing your millions of first-person shooters/rpgs/whatever you paid full price for. Clearly these games are not cash-grabs or anything. >.>
