Tactical Rigging--Snipers?
What are you guys using for your second item slot on your snipers? A S.C.O.P.E. is basically a given, but what do you guys prefer as a second item? Do you just use grenades since you never change it? Do you give your sniper a grenade because you use it on enemies? Is there any good combinations that take advantage of the sniper's strengths?

Personally, I use a ghost grenade and SCOPE with my sniper. On turn one, i set up my flying sniper location with archangel, and use that annoying extra action point to cloak all of my soldiers with the ghost grenade. At this point, they can all dash safely and this speeds up the first few turns greatly.

Chitin Plating - just in case...
I've given my best Col. Snapshot sniper a mimic beacon. He uses that, and several enemies come running straight into his, and the rest of the squad's sights.

Either a mimic beacon or the respirator so he/she can't be strangled, because I always give snipers mimetic skin.

Who gives S.C.O.P.E.s to Snipers, especially late in the game? I'd give them Chitin Plating and the Mimic Beam or whatever it's called (No EW yet). Squadsight Sniper fun and easy kills.

Scope and Chitin plating.

Scope and Chitin Plating, as I find good snipers are hard to replace.

I gave mine a Medikit. He usually never gets hit so extra Armor is not needed and sometimes extra Healing is nice.

Not sure if he even needs the Scope, but i use it anyways, just in case.

Scope with upgrade is handy for extra crit chance, without upgrade it lets the already accurate snipers nearly ignore half cover. (got height advantage, even without any extras and a scope? That guy effectively has no cover.)
For the other slot grenades or health (vest, Resperator [which desperatly needs to mention the extra hp it gives] or Chitin for the hp. Hadn't thought of Medkit, might be handy incase of sudden thin men poision shots.

Sometimes I run respirator implant for the immunities and extra health, or the medkit, because my squadsight sniper is usally away from danger and if my main healer support goes down, I have someone to stabalize him.

Chitin plating provide strangulation immunity and is superior to the respirator in almost every way except for the fact that obtaining it is somewhat more difficult, for obvious reasons. The strangulation immunity is pretty key, as it lets squadsight snipers say alone in the back of the map instead of running for the team every time a seeker is spotted.

Respirator early game, ghost grenade late game (when I have access to power armor) to stealth my MECs or deal with wierd spawns after other units have been moved (sniper always moves last).
