Enemy Within: Nothing different? (GMG)

I bought EW from GMG and activated it yesterday. Today I launched a game and.. nothing seems different. The opening screen is the same, the UI is the same, I've gone on two missions so far and nothing new has popped up. Is this normal? Will the new stuff come later or is my game somehow not recognizing the expansion?

Did you download the 7gb patch? Some keys are not triggering the download as they should - mine was a day late. The most obvious difference is launching the game should come up with a question of "Which to launch? XCOM:EU or XCOM:EW?"

I went under properties and hit "VALIDATE FILES". The 7 GB had indeed not download and is being aquired now. Nice.

I had the same issue with the GMG version too! Was playing yesterday and wondering where the new content was.. validated game files and bam 8gb download

The splash screens at the start will be yellow instead of blue if you're playing with the Enemy Within DLC.

if you live in the EU you have to wait till the 15th of november for the official release

I try to validate the files.. Nothing worked for my copy of the game. I deleted the install and redownloaded and now both games show up. It shows a splash screen which I can select which game I want to play. Hope this helps.
