XCOM and its Various Nod Offs to Pop Culture and Meme References
I absolutely love the "1.21 Giga watts of power baby!" remark of your soldiers when you stun Aliens using the Arc thrower, as well as the "Killing it with fire" quip of your Flamethrower weilding MEC Trooper when setting fire to aliens. It's references like these that really add to XCOM's awesomeness.

These nod offs even play into some of the names of achievements for the game, for example the "By Our Powers Combined!" achievement is obviously a "Captain Planet and the Planeteers" reference.

By the way, are there more nod offs like these in the game I haven't seen yet?

Bradford says some funny stuff if you listen in the situation room.

Aside from the BTF and the obvious Grey reference, I'm not so sure.

I forgot to mention that the "Rise of the Machines" achievement is a reference to "Terminator".

"We've been picking up some odd transmissions lately... some nut calling himself 'Commander Straker' has been all over the news ranting about shadow operatives."
This is a reference to Commander E. Straker and the SHADO agency from the 1970 UFO (TV series).

"This is Central, I'm receiving you... what do you mean you think you saw a snake? What the hell does that have to do with anything?"
This is likely a reference to Snakemen, a species of alien from the original X-Com that was left out in this remake, though it is hinted that they have been turned into the Thin men.

Are you really using your console to play Civilization?... At least I hope you are trying to achieve the Military Victory..."
This is a reference to Sid Meier's Civilization V, the other game that Firaxis was developing at the same time as XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

"...and you are positive that a UFO crash landed in the low-downtown house backyard of a middle-class family... the Tanner residence. Roger, looking into it."
This is a reference to the TV sitcom ALF from the 1980s.

these are from xcom wiki ,there are more

I like to think it's Solid Snake infiltrating XCOM :)
