You have to be above average and a little lucky to keep them all. Not something a fresh nooblet should be worried about. It`s not the end of things until number 8 bows out.
well you can either change the starting funds line, or change the value of something you can sell that you get early like corpses or weapon fragments.
its in the basegameconfig.ini file.
the override is somewhere.
\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
SaveLocalizedCookedPackagesInSubdirectories=FALSE
Possibly but I thought you already did that.
*I Found the line but wtf shall i do with it.. it says the same as you wrote.*
"
Apparently you have to enable the ini file first. I'm looking at some obsolete data on the web.
Essentially you need to
"Well, you can just follow these steps:
1. Mod DefaultGameCore.ini (it is the same inside exe) to whatever you like.
2. Open XComGame.exe inside Resource Hacker.
3. Find RCdata/1020/1033 in left section.
4. Right click 1033 and select "Replace Resource". You will see a new window.
5. Click button "Open file with new resource...", which you will see on new window.
6. Find file, which you modded before and select it.
7. Now fill three text boxes with such values:
Resource type: RCDATA
Resource name: 1020
Resource language: 1033
8. Click "Replace" button. You should see modded content to the right. If not, then something went wrong.
9. Save file using File -> Save and now game is modded. "
the txt ini files won't do anything if you don't fix the .exe to look at them
apparently the other guy's link is to add a key binding that adds 1000 credits every time you press F9 or whatever.
which doesn't require all that much work.
ive already tried the F12 or whatever commands the guy sended in the link, it dosent work ither.
My advice : Walk away OP. You won`t enjoy this game. Ever. Under no circumstances.
It`d be like a particularly unintelligent hamster trying to do calculus.
And yes, im a noob when it comes to making money in this game. im not the guy who wants all countries but at the same time i lose them all after 4-5 hours of game play b ecause im not so good at this game.. I tryed the Cheat engine though.. at first i could not find it on the internet but i did eventualy and it works fine. Thank you all for trying to help me as best as you could, and sry for taking your time. <3
....*Tries it*
it works. F12 is bound to screenshot so it gives me the money but photographs me cheating.
So I'd bind it to F9 or something personally.
It literally is just make a text file put it in the binaries folder (for XEW for the expansion)
and call it in the keybindings ini file.
Add line at end of the keybindings ini file.
[Engine.PlayerInput]
.Bindings=(Name="F9",Command="exec Strategy.txt")
have the strategy.txt file contain:
GiveResource Money 1000
GiveResource Elerium 100
GiveResource Alloys 100
GiveResource Engineers 10
GiveResource Scientists 10
GiveItem WeaponFragment 100
1.) if it worked and
2.) how difficult it was to do.
literally took me 2 minutes from that page to implement it on a clean install of xcom. most of which was testing it, and deleting my screenshots.
or you could just bind it to a different key. or unbind the screenshots.
