on her first mission she decided to make a very unexpected curve instead of simply positioning herself behind her teammates, she of course triggered 2 pods and my squad,of course, had all moved
one died
she then went for full cover which, of course, was blasted away leaving her panicking in the open with 4HP
a thinman somehow only did 3 damage on her,if i recall right another one missed, she was alive!
so my squad did its best to save her...she made it though the first turn, but panicked again the third turn after a heroic comrade gave his life to save her butt
stranded in no cover again she was
i saved her...but lost 3 good men
she became an engineer(LWmod) and...blew herself to oblivion on the next mission, somehow, her grenade bounced on the wall and dealt her a magnificent 6 damage
stupid girl, i do miss her
Cleanup was easy, but I lost my colonel.
Oh, and then aliens terrorized Buenos Aires and I had all my best troops wounded, so I lost 5 squaddies and rookies. But hey, who gives a ♥♥♥♥?
Everything was going well, except for the death, zombification, and subsequent execution of my best field medic. Then I foolishly decided to rush my best man ahead to hit the transponder while leaving the rest of my squad to cover the stairs. Bad move. After rushing the rest of them upstairs to counter a group of Chryssalids who had went straight for him (I forgot they could jump like that,) they managed to distract and fend off my foe long enough for my lead man to hit the transponder. But by the time he ran back out onto the deck, his comrades were getting overwhelmed. And so was he. Out of ammo, and out of time, the rest of my squad fell except for my second support.
With no chance of winning a fight, the only hope was an all-out dash to the EVAC zone. She almost made it, and it genuinely looked like I would have a survivor, outrunning the Chryssalids with apparent ease. That is, until one of them managed to close the distance and initiate a successful attack which brutally killed her. Mission accomplished, but at the cost of my entire squad, all having fallen, risen from the dead, and fallen again when the airstrike came.
It was a horrifying and memorable experience. The worst part was watching my zombified soldiers, once the cream of the crop, flop down mindlessly from the top deck as my last man (woman, rather) made her almost-but-not-quite-successful dash for EVAC.
<scottish music goes here>
That is priceless!

Rest in peace soldiers
Also everytime I miss a rocket shot (10% chance) and it hits the ground right in between my troops.
