EW Patch 3 Not Updating!?

Hi guys,

Got a bit of a problem that hopefully someone out there has had the same and knows how to resolve it.

I'm playing Enemy Within with the Slingshot DLC and have recently updated my gaming experience to the Long War mod, but note on the mod home page that EW Patch 3 (10th March 2014) is required.

The Build ID for the patch is 401776, however my current Build ID seems to be stuck at 338167........and Steam won't auto-update to the new patch. I've got all of the necessary update settings applied, so it's nothing to do with that.

Has anyone else had this issue, and knows how to resolve it? Or is everyone else's Build ID also 338167 and it's just the Long War mod page that's incorrect?

if you already have LW installed it wont update no matter what you do.

1. Ensure you are online
2. Verify your game files. (This removes LW)
3. Update
4. Reinstall LW.

That shoudl fix it for you.

Your saves should still be there though.

If XCOm is installed on Steam then you have the correct version. Steam automatically updates to the most recent version (which is what LW is using) - you won't actually be allowed to play until it does.

Now - that is for *Enemy Within*. Since you say you're playing with the Slingshot DLC *installed*, are you sure that you're not talking about *Enemy Unknown*?

Different versions of the game, different LW mods for the two of them.

EU requires you to roll back to an earlier version of EU (instructions on how are linked on their page) and has a very different version of LW which does not have anywhere near the features the EW LW mod does.

Yes being clear. There are 2 DLC (Slingshot and Progeny) and a single expansion (Enemy Within)

Hey all,

I've already tried re-installing the game, verifying the integrity of the game cache, reinstalling LW Mod, etc....but nothing works. It must be something to do with the fact that I also have the Elite Soldiers and Prodegy DLC installed, which I'm guessing gives the game a different Build ID than just having EW with Slingshot installed.

Regardless, LW works fine and I haven't come across any issues so far, so it's probably nothing to worry about!
