TL:DR, Ghost armor trumps titan if you are careful about positioning.
For Snipers I go for either Ghost armor or Archangel Armor.
For Heavies and Supports definitely Ghost Armor.
Extra conditioning is a good point. . .
In a situation where good cover is rare, beeing invisible surpases any additional HP.
20% more defense means 20% less hits. If you round that up you are easyly blocking 4 HP from not beeing hit every fifth shot which would hit you with titan armor.
The only credit I give for the titan armor is beeing able to walk through poison and fire without harm. But this can be avoided if one is carefull.
On Normal, feel free to use Titan for most of your troops. It`s MUCH cheaper. On Classic or above it`s a stopgap measure to increase survivability until you can afford ghost armour for everyone.
Yes. except maybe people with extra conditioning.
But in EW I give people Ghost and Chitlin Plating. the 20 defense (and stealth if you want to abuse it) makes up for the lack of HP, and its got 3 more move and a grapple.
Although personally all the end-game armors are so OP in vanilla already that it really doesn't matter what you pick.
I agree more with the following:
