If MEC dies, is armor lost?
If my MEC Trooper is KIA, will their MEC suit be lost as well? or can I use it on another unit?

You'll have to pay a nominal cost (including Meld) to repair it, but yes, you can keep using it.

Just ran the experiment.
MEC Col was killed in battle, Plasma ray.
$44, 50 Meld 12 engineers to repair.
While not a negligible amount of Meld, I sure am glad to have those medals back.

If you want the medals back you can just dismiss the soldier.

I read on the wiki that you'd lose the medals if you dismiss.

If you abort and the MECs aren't dead(IE Bleeding out or outside the abort zone) then you will lose their armor.
