I never finished the base game. Was thinking of reinstalling. Does the Enemy Within DLC alter the base game, or is it just like a new area after I finish Enemy Unknown?

Should I finish Enemy Unknown before trying the DLC? Thanks

Enemy Within adds new enemy types and mission types to the base game, as well as new research to unlock. If you are having no issues handling the base game, then it should be fine to install.

enemy within alters the base game. but majority will say play enemy within if you ask. however, i am still playing unknown.
