should i start out with the enemy within dlc or not

I've just got the game and i don't know which to choose when i load the game

like is the dlc just the base game but with more stuff or is the dlc mode thing(idk) or is the dic mode thing it's own thing

If you have Enemy Within, forget Enemy Unknown. It isn't as interesting... IMO.

also, if you decide to go for the "Long War" overhaul mod, that only works with EW.
