full psychic team

anybody able to get 6 psychics in one game? i've been trying to do this but i only get up to 4 psychics

Yes but it can take a while since you can only test 3 at a time. Try to get will as high as you can for a higher success rate.

yeah it's turning into a grind, i'm at the last mission but it's taking too long to get my xmen team together

Annette + 3 her bodies are guaranteed psychics => that's already four. And you can pretty easely get other two, especially if you have people with 100+ will.

I had nine or ten in all (although perhaps not all at one time) in my last ironman classic game, including all of the soldiers I wanted to be psi. You can game the system for getting gifted soldiers if you hire more and then test two guaranteed negatives with the one you want positive. I didn't even use Anette in the final mission or her buddies at all. In the end I took 5 psi soldiers and one MEC on missions (excluding the three just mentioned).

As I aimed to get my last psi soldier (my excellent heavy colonel) I dumped two soldiers who had already tested as gifted (both assaults but never used because I had other soldiers who were better) in order to swing the odds that I would get a positive result on the one I wanted to have the gift. She had pretty high will so I was confident she'd be gifted, but I wanted to make it a "sure" thing.

Build psi armor and equip it to a psionic character.
