Is the Gollop chamber the final mission?
I've been wondering if activating the Gollop chamber triggers the final battle or something. I'm talking about EU.

Sell all your stuffs and get your soldiers the best gears available before using that chamber, because nothing can be done after that.

Stuffs mean everything you can sell from the grey market except for an amount of components required to build the armor/weapon/gadget you want to put on your soldiers ( alloy, eridium and some corpses, etc ) . The point is to gain enough money for last tier armors and plasma weapons if you haven't got that already.
