Report a translation problem
Vigilo confido is roughly I am watchful (vigilant). I am relied upon. etc.
Bellator in Machina: Fighting man in machine or something similar like warrior/brave
Mutare ad custodiam: To change in order to protect etc.
That would be Deus ex machina - and is a fairly old phrase relating to theater and arse-pull end-acts.
Bellator means fighter/warrior. Bellator in machina would roughly mean machine warrior.
The problem with these translations is two-fold.
1) Its dog latin to start with.
2) Lots of latin words do not have neat one-to-one correlations with english words. Mottoes are written to give the gist of the english meaning but in straight latin are often incomprehensible.
It certainly makes more sense, unfortunately they're using the 'I' form instead of 'we'. Most lilkely the devs took the english mottos and ran them through Google translate to get what went into the game.
"Mickey Mouse!".
(lol - just a little humor).
Bellator in Machina: The Fighter/Warrion in the Machine (referring to the mods you can do)
Mutare ad custodiam: To change in order to protect. (referring to the genetic upgrades)
Vigilo = vigilant Confido = have confidence in . so for me, have confidence in my viligence or trust in my vigilence
but its all a copy of US Army's "De oppresso liber"
Confido cannot mean "I am trusted", because that would be passive and confido is active.
