Oh, and also try UFO Enemy Unknown.
Enforcer was ok, but was just a standard "Run around and shoot things and collect powerups" game circa the 90's- market was flooded with them back then.
ok, just seen terror, apologies...
Each one is independent, you don't need to know anything about previous games to understand the plot.
If you really want to know, basic overarching plot goes like this:
Humans beat first invasion(UFO) -> Things go worse as second alien group awakens -> Humans beat those(TFTD) -> Things get even more worse as worlds oceans are now toxic -> Ecosystem collapses -> Mega-Primus is founded -> Humans go to space to mine -> Things go worse as aliens attack... AGAIN(Interceptor) -> Humans beat those -> Fourth group of aliens attack Mega-Primus(Apocalypse).
Enforcer never happened, are we clear?
tl;dr
Humans beat aliens, get in to even worse situation.
