The reason? Blood, Gore, violence and Strong Language.
When you view the game's information here on Steam, the site even asks you for your Birthdate.
So I really did not appreciate it when a Forum Moderator once gave me a warning for posting a comment regarding "fantasizing" about Vahlen, XCOM 2's Female Berserkers or the Snake Women with the reason that I SHOULD keep my posts "Family Friendly".
When something is Rated M for Mature Audiences, it is expected that children WILL NOT be allowed to play or view it, same goes for the game's community. If you let your child play or view this game the irresponsibility falls on you (the parent) and not the producers or other fans who enjoy it.
Not to say that we all appreciate you posting your fantasies about Vahlen haha
Oh, and publicly discussing moderation is also against the rules, especially when arguing or disagreeing with it.
Because back then, We had two seprate companys, Rate one game at the same time.
Though the squad was primarily Master Sergeants who had been in an alien base before, we did have a couple of greenhorns. The medic, in particular, had been asking the guys to "give him a kill" and they promised him the next one was all his.
After this, he changed his tune to "if you need a smoke grenade, I'll be here in the back."
Well, I was referring to them in general rather than rank in specific (Something like X-commers would seem even more awkward and I'm not sure what else I'd call them off the bat). And hey, assuming the others managed to weaken it to the point that it was killable in one hit why not, assuming he wasn't too busy making a mental note to request brown pants for the next UFO raid.
