Enabling Touch-Input on PC

Hey guys,

i got short question: I read about the new touch-input-feature which was implemented through the latest patch. I'm playing on a surfrace pro 2 and thus I'm quite interested in this feautre. But sadly I can't find these settings. Under "Interface" there is still only "Mouse" and "XBOX-360-Controller", no "Touch". how do i enable those touch-settings? :/

it might just be a tap thing, like where you tap you left click. maybe just with abilities though. and did you try controls? and is that interface? alternitivly, one could probably edit controls and just tap when it asks to press a key.

Hmm, thanks for your tips, but I've already tried these things. This is what's written in the Patchnotes:

"Addition of Touch controls to the game*
*Additional Notes Regarding Touch Support
Touch support can be enabled through the options menu. For full functionality, it is recommended to use this option with a multi-touch display. All features may not be available with single-touch displays. If this feature is enabled without a touch display the game may become unresponsive. This option can be disabled at any time with or without using a touch display through the options menu."

since I'm getting a touch enabled PC soon (FHD 12.5", HD4400 graphics - basicaly a sourface pro): is the game playable with touch only and is integrated intel GPU fast enough for normal play? I suspect it is but I'd love a confirmation before buying the collection :)

U want to play a U3 Engine game with a intern GPU from an Intel chip? with an AMD Chip i sayed maybe, with this Intel crap i say have a nice Diashow.

You can play XCOM on a Intel HD 4400, like I said, i AM playing this game on the surface pro 2 which is equipped with this chip. 720p and low settings, but the "low" resolution is no problem on smaller screens. The game runs very smooth on my device and other games will do as well. Split Second, FIFA, Gothic3, Warframe etc. I even got TESO working (not exactly "beautiful" but it worked absolutely playabel).

But I can't tell you about the Touch-Only-Input... for i can't find the settings..... :D

Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I just got the game and I'd love to use my touchscreen to play it, but I can't find the option either,

actually the touchscreen-support IS implemented. It took me a while unitl i figured out that those controls were implemented with the patch FOR THE ADDON (enemy within? I think... the addon with cyborgs :D). Just bought the addon for a few bucks and everything now works great for me! Its actually an awesome game for the surface (or related devices)!

Aw dang it, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for confirming that for me, though! I got the base game for free, so it's not like buying the expansion would hurt.

so for enemy unknown there's no touch support? i have both but haven't gotten round to playing EW yet

Does anyone know the actual control for touch? Trying to move around the screen and things like that seem impossible or should I be using the pen also? Oh btw I'm using a surface pro 3.

tap once to select tile, then tap move (I think) or maybe it's the other way around.

Sorry to hear that the touch support is only in the expansion, no way I'm paying almost as much for only the expansion as for the whole game + all expansions. :-(
