Updating Executable for my XCOM

I've been wondering if guys have tips to fix issue for updating executable. When launching XCOM It just goes to updating executable then will just cancels itself

Its a steam issue. This happened before and fixed itself in a matter of days

i have been trying to fix this for 2 days and have found that this has happened multiple times in the past to different people. Many have fixed it with turning off antivirus software or other methods, but it seems to be an issue with the steam version. I will install a cracked version and see how that turns out, but that will probably have to wait until tomorrow. I will update you as soon as i can.

just installed a cracked copy, it works, but i noticed that the cracked version is 23,8gb, while the steam version is 18,5gb. It seems that the steam version has over 10k missing files, which is corroborated by steam reinstalling the whole game after verifying files. Either way, the cracked version works, while the steam version does not. If you want to play the game you have to either play on console or sail the seven seas, just be sure to find a safe site to download from. I have tried to install the game today and its now working.
