It's always worth playing a "pure" run first. Get an idea of what has been changed and how those changes effect the dynamic.
Yeah, that's what I mean. I would revise what I said however. It might be worth using 'save scum' if you plan to play without 'Iron Man'.
I am assuming since they are off by default that the intended true experience is having them off.
And SamBC, LW users will never learn it, they think all must talk about this BS mod in this forum. time to purge all LW threads here and move all LW user to there own suppforum, so we vanilla players no longer get plaged by this derailers.
Seriously, it's worth running a 'straight' game first. How do you know what the Second Wave is changing if you've never played under the original rules?
On your second play throught you'll read the second wave details and you'll understand what the rules mean. I mean they tell you what the rules mean, but without playing the game first you won't understand what the rules MEAN to the player on the tactical level.
After you have done a pure play through, consider second wave options.
I am a big fan of aiming angles, but I play with about 1/4 to 1/3 of them on. It really mixes up the further play throughs and provides a tougher challenge, even on the same difficulty level.
