What are one of your most hated enemies?
Admit it, as you progress in the game, there will be some enemies that can be very annoying and frustrating to kill or destroy. I thought I'd ask you if there are one or more enemies that you hate all time.

For me:
-Cyberdiscs because when spotted or moving, they make an annoying sound that your ears will certainly not enjoy hearing.

-Sectoid Commanders because they can mind control a soldier with much success.

-Etherals because they're scary looking and perform just like Sectoid Commanders.

-Uber Etheral because it's the boss that everyone does not like.

Drones.

Possibly Thin Men. They can poison your troops even if they can't shoot them, they're absurdly acrobatic and seem to jump across half the map, and even when you kill them they leave behind a gas cloud that can poison you.

Seekers. I ever played I/I with all second wave options, and on the second month, they appeared and strangled to kill all of my troops. They have much defense and damage reductions, and with damage roulette, oh ♥♥♥♥. I guess the only use of Reaper Round is for that situation by assault class, Ive never tried the item though.

On the lower difficulties, thin men and muttons, probably. Not always but sometimes they are cheatingly strong to dodge and hit&run to escape from our troop.

Whell, I'm not done with the game yet so sectopods and chryssalids.

Sectopods, for sure. The Sectoid Commanders are irritating, but you can be sneaky about them. Like using a sniper with disabling shot on your own guy. Etc.

Chryssalids. If you can hit them with two rockets from your heavies (or just pick them off from a distance), they're not too much trouble... but if they get close? They ♥♥♥♥ your ♥♥♥♥ UP.

During the alien base assault mission, I ran into a group of them during the first room, and I forgot that heavies can't fire their rockets after moving. So, one of them got up close to my highest-ranking Assault soldier and I thought, "Well, that sucks, but I'm sure it'll be fine." Then he got ripped apart in one hit and I was just stunned.

Sectopods are also annoying for a similar reason - if you can take them out before they get their first move in, it's fine, but otherwise they can bomb the crap out of half of your soldiers in one hit.
Chryssalids are definitely the worst enemy to fight in the early game. They just hit so hard and have such good survivability, plus all the zombies you have to waste AP on...

I'm kind of new to EW, but Mechtoids can also a problem. It seems like by the time you encounter your first one you have a decent chance of having nice equipment and high ranking soldiers, but they're still a pretty big threat.

drones. they just don't care.

Cyberdisk immune to the shatter assault gun, too bad (2 of them on my last map, flanked front and right, a carnage for my team) and Crysalids because their attack kill my soldiers every time at close-range.
Sectopods are quite nasty too indeed with their multiple attack and executionner feat. ;)

Dis guy knows what's up.
Chryssalids. I've lost several LW games thanks to them.

Chryssalids. Everything in the game is a threat, but nothing--I mean NOTHING--ends your game like three pairs of chryssalids appearing JUST after you decide to go after that last enemy instead of Overwatching. The game KNOWS exactly when to spawn them on top of you; when it does, you're probably dead. God help you if one escapes and starts hitting civilians...

Actually when I was playing on a different save file, none of them tried to hurt or kill one of my soldiers. The only time a Chryssalid tried to kill was a civilian on an alien terror attack.

I dont exactly hate Chryssalids, I think they are cool as an enemy just how deadly they are. Its just early on, it forces you to upgrade to lasers otherwise yous cant kill them quick enough if 3+ of them show up at once, hell sometimes with 2, if you miss shots and they blitz your troops, its just about an instant kill, and that solider comes back up in 2 turns as a zombie. Expect to get a few poor mission ratings on crisis missions if your still with assault weapons, because if you rush your team in, there going to get raped and zombielized.

I just dont like mid to late game, they simply dissapear :/

Sectipod is the other nasty. It overwatches even after firing, So if you dont have an assault with lightning relex to move first., you are in trouble. Especially with its carpet bombing to force you to move. You could say I hate them <.<
