Xcom was made to be mod unfriendly so people really didnt bother.
Long War mod does open up all the files though so you could go and edit them yourself.
Otherwise move on to Xcom2 which is made to have mods and there are plenty of great ones.

You mean stuff like cheat engine. Or the old Gameshark.
Seeing as I definatly dont use it and the I suspect the other user doesnt either we answered your question as best we could with the alternatives we know can achieve the same result but safely.
