Getting 4 satellites on impossible.. Someone help me.
Holy god this game is getting annoying.. Not only the sectoids killed across the wall and made me re-start the level many times, now i will have to start another file even when i got lucky with the soldiers stats and managed to win flawlessly..

When i finished the mission and went to try the allien abduction, the game only gave me the mission when was 24 days left, i tried to load it many times but i keep getting this number, and from what i hear i won't be able to get all the satelites at this date.. Is there a way to fix this randomness? Any garanteed way to get the mission in the right time?

Also, some times i get a council mission that gives me credits (around 120 - 140 and some panic reduction) instead of the abduction that gives me 4 engineers, can i go with that? Or do i need the 4 engineers?

Think of it like this. I don't think anyone has had the full 16 countries stay unless it is on easy. You need the panic reduction and the money first.

I can get the full 16 to stay on classic.

on Impossible, you generally lose a few before it gets under control. made a video once detailing the math to get 12 sats up by the end of the 3rd month. at which point I had lost 4 countries and covered the other 2.

if you want I'll link it.

More of proof I did it.

I'm you could have gotten a better roll than I did, maybe lose a few less on impossible. but when I did it, I lost 4. in the first 3 months. before covering the rest.

I saw a guy complete the game on impossible/ironman without losing any countries or any soldier.. but i don't have even half his luck..

It is possible to get 4 satellites in the first month and don't lose anything, the problem is that the game is too random, some times it takes too much to the mission to pop up, and sometimes pops the wrong mission..

I only want to know if there is a way to bypass that randomness.

It is easier on EU. The EW mission order was changed and also made more random, I am not actually sure that it is possible to do it on EW.

There was also a strat where you let the scout go and get a scanning UFO the next day for more money (IIRC most of the randomness in EU was whether you get enough intact components to sell for a sat and the scanning UFO was a medium with more stuff to sell? It's been a long time now).

not in that short a time frame no.

you can bypass the randomness but it takes time and money which you do not have. usually, unless really lucky.

but I can reliably manage 12 sats by the third month, without heavy luck meaning I cannot LOSE the game which is important.

Yeah, the randomness of this game just gave me a council mission at 27 days left to council report with the reward of 129 credits + 5 Engineers..

Now i can build 4 satellites at 75 credits each and don't even need workshop to build the satellite uplink.. I still can't believe that this game just gave me a mission like this after all the ♥♥♥♥ it threw at me.. I might even get 5 satellites or even 6 satellites now while playing on the impossible difficulty

you could swap on High stakes to allow abduction missions to give you 2-6 specialists instead of a flat 4 but that puts you more at the mercy of RNG.

Does allow you to get 5 or 6 engineers off the first abduction to start building sats though.

Since i already have 10 engineers and can buy the satellite uplink, in the next abduction mission what should i go for? Scientists, 200 funds or more engineers?

I would imagine engineers, you can sell corpses for funds, you get tons of those only go for something else if you NEED it to get your sats up in time.

until you have the 30 or so you need for the 4 uplinks at least.

Alright, thanks man.

On impossible difficulty you think the best reward is engineers, its wrong.

You need to build satellites, uplinks, and you need to do that asap.

First abduction mission take the 200 resources, the second abduction mission you may also need to take the 200 resources because you need to spam satellites and uplinks, you will most likely have to build a workshop and power.

Going to have to sell plently of stuff on the grey market, because you badly need those resources to build more satellites and uplinks in advance to prepare for the following month.

I had 4 satellite uplinks before my first satellite nexus.

why would you ever even consider building a sat nexus? its overpriced and garbage.
