You don't have to touch most of them! For most of the things in the game, you'll only need the file DefaultGameCore.ini if you want to change them. I couldn't find the value that dictates the chances of a soldier being male/female, but I'm so sure that you can change it! Maybe if you look around a bit, you'll find it...
Like I'm sure I didn't spend every dang Saturday afternoon in DIY stores when I was a kid, but it sure feels like I did.

The original game from the 90s had the same distribution and nobody ever moaned about it, because we understood that the game drew upon popular scifi, animation and comic books.
How did we go wrong and raise a generation that is so easily rattled that a few pixels makes them shiver and shake?
