Interrogation
Just answer yes or no without spoiling, or at least too much: After I have interrogated a sectoid and the shard creature (you know the one that has a crystal inside that is an antenna, don't remember exact name), is there any further need for the interrogation chamber?

Aside from main objectives, capturing one of each enemy will give you some very valuable research projects. This includes some normally optional ones, like the Muton or Floater.

Most interrogated Species gives u a research Time benefit in one "research tree" like the sectoid does for beam.... Thats not even a spoiler. And that helps alot when u play on diff higher than normal.

Yes.

However I've noticed that some species can't be stunned, can you confirm to me which are they? I tried to stun a chrysalid and also a floater and no luck. And when I tried a muton the chance was only 11%, hefty risk for my soldier.

Weaken them, then take the shot. It's always a gamble. I do know that the Floater can be captured, but I take no chances with Chryssalids and both my attempts to get a Berserker have failed to a resounding "OH $&%÷!"

You can stun everything except for Chryssalids, Zombies and every Mechanical unit (Drones, Disc's etc.), the one species i don't want to call out cause of spoilers is also not stunnable. Both Floater types are biological in that question so you can stun them. After Upgrade you can stun drones
Stardustfire Dec 5, 2016 @ 8:02am
NoTime dono what "one species" u talk about, all nonerobotic alien units exept Crysis/Zombies are stunable. and u cant stun drones u take them over with the upgrade, what is pretty useless btw.

For the Stun chance: 3 or less hp for unupgraded arc, 5 or less for upgraded, each hp under the max possible makes the chance better.

The one alien that you have to fight in the final battle, okay it's not necessary to point out because you only encounter them one time without long war but yea just wanted to.

Overall you just repeat the same as i did.

No you don't. They replace sectoid commanders on ships after the then special ship mission.

Even the final boss is stunnable with some effort but not worth it

Interogation research bonuses are as follows:

Sectoid Interrogation: Beam Weapons Research Credit (speeds research time of lazer weps)
Thin Man Interrogation: UFO Tech Credit (speeds research of flight computers, better jets etc)
Floater Interrogation: Basic Armour Credit (speeds research of carapace, and skeleton armour)
Muton Interrogation: Plasma Weaponry Credit (speeds plasma weapon research)
Heavy ?????? Interogation: Flight ( MOAR FUEL FOR JETPACKS YAYYYY)
Interogate Sectoid ????????: Psionics (Faster research for all psychic technology) Note: you must autopsy or interogate the Sectoid ???????? to gain access to the psyonic labs

Interogate Muton ?????: Weapons Tech Credit (speeds research of ALL weapons technology)
Interogate Beserker: Armour Tech Credit (speeds research of ALL armour technology)
Interogate ????????: All Technology Credit (speeds research of EVERYTHING)

You cannot stun/interrogate: Drones, Cyberdiscs, Chrysalids, Uber ?????? and ????????

There is no further benefit to stunning Outsiders besides the first one to unlock the story mission.

All aliens that are stunned will drop their weapons so consider stunning many to save resources on producing plasma weapons yourself.

and finally you should try to lower an alien's health down to 1-3 points to ensure the best chance of a stun. There is also a foundry project which alows you to improve the stun gun thereby increasing the chance of a succesful stun. Pretty much required if you plan on capturing late game aliens.

Hope that Helps :)

Question marks are to not spoil anything

Yeah you need to capture a plasma weapon to make plasma weapons. I think. Can't quite remember if you can leapfrog with just the pistol but I think you need a rifle and if you want light plasma rifles on of those too. Don;t need the heavy one I know you can make that one without it. might speed it along though.
