Delleted and reinnstalled three times including on a different drive.
Changed to compatibility Windows 8 mode.
Updated all of my drivers for all components within Device Manager.
Updated both my Steam and Windows 10.
Updated all graphics related drivers and adapters.
Verified I have more than twice the recommended ram and HD space for the game allotted as well ass the graphic card settings needed and processing power needed.
Okay I have done so much research on how to fix this and actually broke out the IT tech software to do a debugging of the entire install from Steam. Seems that those of us that are having the Windows 10 issues related to the last path have had their Windows netframe dll files changed by Microsoft! This has caused the followinng file msvcr100.dll to no longer be present or operational within many of the Steam games since the base interface is not on our machines but instead held by Steam in their cloud. Even when running in compatibility mode for Winndows 8 under the admin the game still fatally crasshes.
So if anyone has any suggestions on how to either get the msvcr100.dll to interface again wiith the new Netframe updates from Windows 10 or to have a bypass and allow XCom to run that wouuld be immensely helpful to a number of people experiencing these problems; and accordinng to Reddit there are thousands currently experiencing these issues.
The Wonderword what makes u trouble is to 1000% the LW thing.....
So many steam games just don't start. Shadow man, GTAIV, this... There should be a disclaimer on the store pages of these games: "Warning: game does not start"
Just got that PoS update myself. Went from running 50-58 processes to 120. Restored my old win 10(you have 10 days from time of update) and disabled updates. That's as far as 10 is going on this PC. Going to kill updates on my other PC before I have to go through this crap again.
