Is it just me or do most of the reviews look like paid actors and bots?

Also the most of them are in the same steam groups, like "퀴연이" and "Frozen Souls" seems to consists only of bots. All of them are playing games for hours but none of them have a single achievement in any of them.

It's like that on many review sites as well. Companies pay to get fake reviews to fluff their games and to also get critical reviews removed.

Astute observations OP. I work with AI in my industry. Bot nets and LLM's are becoming a significant problem across all industries. It's rapidly becoming a multi-billion dollar industry and has been around for about 10-12 years already in its current form. The first botnets and Neural Nets were deployed in the 80's and were used to predict market trends (research one of the first Neural Nets - called MINERVA).

Estimates suggest ~60%-70% of all content now generated online is not of human origin. This makes reviews harder to trust.

The best recommendation is to start with negative reviews for any product or service you wish to purchase, because the models are trained to give raving, positive reviews. Negative reviews will give you a sense of any flaws that might be concerning for you.

If people cannot detect bots and AI generated content by now, then they will likely not be able to as the technology progresses. Good job on spotting it.

I'm back, and I wrote a review, and I didn't get paid for it.
I'm not gonna post it here, but basically yeah thumbs up from me, won't be surprised if it's in the running for goty. We both thought "it's pretty good".

It does not matter if the review is positive or negative, such reviews lack weight, thus they should be disregarded.

Most anticipated games got reviews like that on the first hour. People just want to be the first ones to write one so they can receive points awards or votes to be in the top most useful.

I'm still of the opinion that you should not be able to leave a review unless you have 1hr of actual play time and not sitting at menu.
