Please tell me the part of the game where the girls turn into hot dogs can be avoided.

yes, you just don't interact with the side story bubble when you get to it.

It'll be themed around the side story.
The sidestory entrance has lots of vegetation in it.

It's the bubble with the pumpkins nearby. Just don't enter that bubble and you'll skip it.
