I´m loading a really big update for sacred 2. what happend? Its years ago, that there was the last one.

I have just noticed this game going on sale on Steam, but as Sacred 2: Gold. I had Fallen Angel from waaaay back, and thought I'd play it with my friend. However, we cannot seem to make a connection between each other. We were trying to connect over Hamachi, with LAN mode. Are these games -that- different? Do I really must have the gold version myself? And if so, can I somehow just "upgrade" my version without buying a completely new title?...

I've tried all the win7 fixes. It will run for an hour, or two, then crash. With a game like this, that isn't easy to save without losing your position, a crash is super annoying. Crashed again just now and figured, screw it, uninstall.

Any reason that previous owners of Sacred 2 don't just get the updated version automatically? Repurchasing makes no sense.. If it has more content, maybe charging $5 to upgrade to the new version might make more sense.
