I think there is two huge issues that people have to eventually deal with.
I can go into a long detail, how consumers are truly allowing abusive digital gaming exploitation, but not what the tread is about. Clearly those who purchased Agent Venom, now have to get used to huge difference and if you bought Surtur thinking you were getting one thing. Think again.
Skaar-not necessary to reduce him. Notice after he was featured. They wanted your money
Surtur-Again you are paying for his usage
Agent Venom- Just stop. That is a huge change. Many may not think so, but it is.
Valentina, just take off the negative nonsense. Why must players include Cage, Just idiotic. 6-costs are situational if your going to have other cards pull 6-costs even sooner than the 4-cost position. (see data-mines) Then why penalize her.
Rest these +1, or - 1 is all borderline parameters of the entire AI board. I mean
Shadow King buff to ooops.
Again, lack of testing, lack of smart overall implementation, however, you are glad they adjust quickly. I won't even bother with their long explanations. Players will adjust.
I'm happy with the buffs to some Series 1 and 2 cards.
There is another side to it, why aren't there more cards upgraded to compete with that OP card and not everything dull down to a parallel line. Why aren't +4 or above viable consistently in a game that is suppose to end quickly, not prolong matches. How many times do you see this same pattern with Battle Pass cards.
Though I slightly disagree with your assessment. I do agree, players will adjust to such changes. You be well.
This feels a lot like fraud.
Yes, this is what kingts is talking about. Season pass cards should be thoroughly tested before release, people buy them with money, and it feels bad to devalue them right after release.
Apart from that, OTA is fine, Agent Venom will still have some uses, I'm not really sure if that point of power on Surtur is relevant. Anyway, I'm off on a trip for two weeks, dust should settle by then.
at least they made thanos playable
Yeah, I am not sure that single point of power is enough to get upset about, I just don't like the way they handled this. They designed a useful card that people would buy, then when people bought it and used it they changed it.
That is a total bait and switch.
Surtur will be available though keys or tokens after the season ended. You pay for getting it as soon as possible. There are more season pass cards which were nerfed after their season and faded away, some of them returned later, some didn't (Ms. Marvel, Elsa Bloodstone, Loki etc.).
Things that will happen are sort of immaterial. It's what is happening that warrants scrutiny. The card should at least remain the same so long as it is in the shop. There are all sorts of conflicts that get introduced by erratic and inconsistent alterations like this, the most important of which is that the people who paid for something were given something else almost immediately. I have no doubt they are covered in their EULA, but this is a scammy practice. If people who had purchased the season pass was were given something in acknowledgment as an apology, like a variant, spotlight key, or older card not in their collection, it would go a long way to showing that the devs really were sincere in preserving game balance and simply missed something in their calculations. . .but this? These feels as though it was done on purpose to exploit the community for easy cash.
There are a lot of scummy practices in Gacha, and I did a tread of possible solutions in the future, if consumers want them.
If you truly think about it. Its all illusion and you are paying for that illusion. I mean this use to be in old Syfy films digital illusionary gaming. Now that its a reality. What do you measure value in something that is not real.
Test card pre-release or character releases is all about money. It is the one area these gaming developers rack it in. However, you would never allow it for a genuine tangible thing.
Its WHY do consumers allow it. That is the issue. 100.00 lots of Agony. I mean come on guys.
You spend for something unreal, fine, but have parameters that protect your investment into those illusionary things. That is what I am for. You buy that illusionary item, it should have a time period it stays as is. Right or Wrong.
The other factor is game developers are making so much money that they cheat the governments of the very country people complain about.
Yes, they pay taxes, they can pay off such oversight, but YOU the consumer suffer the most because you feed the very beast that do these scummy practices.
I am not against the game MARVEL SNAP. I have made that very clear, Nor am I going to preach to spenders what they can spend on. Sorry, not fair to do that, but there are steps to limit these scummy practices. I think getting back to the OTA changes is fine. Players will adjust.
All I am going to say on the matter. Peace
