Grab the Multifixer program from the guides page, and always run FC2 via that program.
You can grab both weapons easily if the game isn't bugging out.
Also, the 6P9 is completely silent and is probably the most OP weapon in the game.
Thanks for the Multifixer tip by the way, hadn't heard about that program.
I always buy it first and as soon as the dart rifle becomes available I then replace it with that and change my loadout strategy.
the star45 makes bang bang but if you aim at the head the makarov is very effective.
every clean headshot is instakill even in vanilla, unmodded game.
and stealth is possible and viable, you just need the stealth vest, silenced weapons and night time.
the ai is less aware and alerted during night time.
It doesn't make you invisible - you still need to keep low and and use shadow and cover
but It does allow you to traverse large areas in the open while crouched and get closer
to your targets unseen.
It's well covered here in Chapter (3) - "Part 2 - Conflict Strategies - Beating AI"
- IN2FC2 -
Also the "Weapons Selections - Comparisons" article in Chapter (2) has info on how to
snipe with Pistols and other weapons.
I don't play MP. Only referring to SP.
It's a laser beam that usually instakills with a headshot and makes no noise. Fantastic secondary if you're playing stealthy. The only way I could see it being worse than the star is in active combat against multiple enemies.
Give it another shot once you've fixed the bugs in your game.
I only stopped using the silenced version because I like playing with alerted enemies,
and it doesn't have the stopping power for dealing close up with multiple engagers;
But from a distance it can be used just like a sniping weapon.
Did you check the weapons section of the guide? You'll find the the sniping technique
there. - 6P9 is ideal for it. - Your shots are more accurate from a crouched position and
using cover is always advised. Once you're spotted stealth is lost until you relocate and
lose them for enough time for them to go back to a semi-alert state.
