Your save is probably bugged and can only be fixed by reloading a previous save file where the bug hasn't happened yet if you still haven't fixed it. I think the "save anywhere" feature was a huge afterthought by the devs because it can bug out really easy and it just creates another save instead of overwriting the last one, in the consoles it didn't exist and the only way to save there was by going to one of the safehouses.

If you still have save problems delete the file
C:\Users\Admin\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2\GamerProfile.xml
Then launch the game - you'll have to reset your gfx settings but your control
setup will be the same.
but you don't have to delete the game. just install multi-fix and use it to launch the game.
It comes with some great features including Set Field Of View option. The vanilla FOV is
pretty narrow.
If you have corrupted saves I have a collection of saved games made in chronological
order available for DL if you need them. - They're clearly numbered and labeled so it's
easy to locate the saved game you need. - The links are in my guide here->
