No Audio At All...

just downloaded this game and when i boot it up i have absolutely ZERO audio.. windows 10.. any ideas?

All I can think of is a .dll file in Far Cry 3 that is much better at accurate hardware detection.
Perhaps the good Dr. Virago can fill in the details that I'm woefully missing.

If so, you could try that weird fix where you copy the systemdetection.dll file from the FC3 bin folder into FC2's, replacing the file that's there.

Idk if this would fix your specific issue, but it's definitely confirmed working for other launch issues.

Also curious to know. I'm replying and the audio just stopped working. I switched from my onboard analog output to using my mixer via USB somewhere the past few days, not sure if it stopped working before or after, but choosing various outputs on Win11 doesn't work.

I managed to solve mine by not allowing audio playback through additional audio devices created by my screens.
