Any way to get just the original American McGee's Alice?

i grew up on the original. heck, first time i ever played it it was as a demo on a demo CD back in the day that game magazines used to give out with their issues. the story, style, music, clever Cheshire jokes (i love that cat), everything hit just right with me. still does. i still listen to the soundtrack to this day when the mood hits and remember all those levels and weird characters with their lisps.
when Madness Returns came out i was ecstatic to get back into that world so i borrowed it and tried playing it, but it never hit right like original did and after few hours i wanted to play less and less of it until i just stopped. never finished it.

i was disappointed Steam didn't have either game, still am disappointed it doesn't, because beside Epic that i use to collect free games and Ubisoft Connect i have to use to play Assassin's Creed, i only ever use Steam and not having Alice means not able to replay my childhood, especially since finding out Steam actually used to sell it. sure the game didn't age very well, but it's still one of my favourites.

so my question is could Alice be gifted without Madness Returns coming along for the ride? are the two games separate or fall under one installation?
if they are separate is there someone, anyone out there wanting to get rid of the original only, for whatever reason?

Look for a guide in steam, which teaches how to unlock DLC content. all u have to do is to change a code line in the game files

again this has been mentioned various times, they want an cd copy, or an actual complete version no workaround if im recalling right.
amazon still has CD vers of the orignal, but completes been wiped out mostly

I wonder if steam could add the complete collection content for purchase or if this just parts from EA only. I'm still not aware of how this works... and why EA removed the complete edition even on Origin.

I think OP said they want to own Alice 1 on Steam (Comment #2), but the only way to technically due that right now is through that guide when you own AMR on Steam. OP said they'll check it out once they purchase AMR (Comment #26).

as for complete, i may have mentioned before
it was most likely a timed exclusive, as it was NOT for sale even on origin there own client.
yet it was still being sold complete on official key seller sites till it returned to steam.

the only site that has been selling it was ORIGIN which is owned by ELECTRONIC ARTS
the PUBLISHER of the game and all they have been selling is the basic edition.
complete was on official sellers like humble only hidden away as key only.
but as soon as the basic edition returned to steam, it was delisted from all of the websites
basic and complete removed, those versions were origin versions.
there was no official sellers selling alice madness returns steam.

again the only way to get the orignal without work arounds is cd version
which most likely has compatibility problems, as its saying win98
the workaround has an HD slight upgraded version with compatiblity and controller support
