Issues with Origin/EA account

Just wanted to share a potential workaround that's working for me. After 30mins of messing around with the usual Origin/EA account issues and failing, I downloaded a crack here: http://www.ulozto.net/xMdxGPd/alice-madness-returns-crackfix-by-theta-crack-only-rar#download

No instructions included so if you're not sure; back up AliceMadnessReturns.exe from ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Alice Madness Returns\Binaries\Win32 and replace it with the cracked version.

Back up awc.dll from ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Alice Madness Returns\Binaries\Win32\Core and replace it with awc.dll and awc.org found in the crack.

Should now be good to go.

I dont' think it is if you own the game.

Maybe if they don't want us to use it they should fix the game. I don't know wtf this crap is with it wanting you to log in.

My Origin login actually ended up working for that. I'd try it before using a crack. Bootleg software is the best way to get viruses, spyware, etc. on your PC.

origin accounts are free so I would go for that one

i click on register for an ea account and it says " The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

I think Origin came out after this game was released. The EA account it's asking for is now an Origin account. Origin is basically EA's version of Steam. It's worth grabbing as they sometimes give away free games:

they also have early access or origin access where you pay 4€ a month and get to play a varity of games

If anyone has trouble to play this game, just open your Origin account and find Alice Madness Return game and active it with the Steam key.

I set up an "origin " account and tried logging in with the madness returns launcher it doesnt work I just downloaded the origin client would do I do now? do I get 2 copies of alice madness? one on steam and origin? do I get the original alice from 2000'? on origin? why isnt the original on steam... I have alot more games on steam that may require origin... how do I know which do I get 2 copies for all of them? can I acivate my origin steam games on the origin client...? im confused... does the game require games for windows live?

Once activated you can play it on both Origin and Steam.
For some reason it worked normally a few years back, I already have it registered in my Origin-account but Steam's Origin-query persists now and it doesn't recognize my proper credentials for Origin.

EA really effed up everything - there was no need for Origin at all.
