Increase player limit to 6
Title says it all, would be lovely to play in a bigger group but the hard limit of four players is, well... quite limiting.

There are mods to raise the player limit

Yes, but those mods need to be installed on every connecting client and tends to break the game in some ways.

You already have mods and if you want to find people to have the mod for 6 players, then go to the discord and LFG

Mods aren't the answer to everything, native support for bigger lobbies would be nice for the casual players too.

Would like to add that I agree. It's a pain to have to install the mod on every client, giving us the option to increase the player limit to whatever we want would be great and it's not like it would matter for the dev since the game is peer to peer.

It'd probably take some more optimization but I'd wager it's on the list for the dev. The difficulty scales pretty well with 6 players imo.
agreed!! It’s a huge pain wanting to play games with my group (there are 5 of us) when every multiplayer game we like is 4 people only :( would love for us all to be able to play

A bit odd they went with three instead of the general 4-5 format almost every multiplayer has,

I would love for the game to be balanced for 4 people as default but have an option to allow more. Played last night with I think the most we had 7 and it was insanity. You'd think we'd have made bank, but we didn't lmao.

The game was made and "balanced" with 4 player in mind, so it is unlikely that we gonna get more players slider anytime soon since the game is in EA.
So you and your friend either learn to install the mod properly or play as a two group of 3.

Considering how most things in this game are instakill and quite unpredictable, I dont think it would make things too easy.

Definitely would love to see this implemented.

Agree. Encouraging people to install a third-party mod from a third party website is not a solution and with a game getting this much attention the chance of malware and system breaches is too high if left unorganized. The most undetectable malware is one that works as the user expects, but then does stuff on the side. You'd be surprised how many mods gather PC info and send back to a random server.

As an indie dev Steam Workshop support would be a good option for some quality assurance and protection for players in the form of Steam moderators and guidelines or better, implement ingame with a notice that the game is balanced for 4 players.
