this game is overrated like crazy

(before i would like to start, this is my opinion, before all you people with 16000 hours on this game go crazy and give 1000 clown reactions) Look, I don't hate people for enjoying this game, and if you do, keep enjoying it, but I honestly feel like this is one of the most over-hyped, overrated games I've ever played, I was peer pressured into buying this game by my friends, and that was the worst 10 dollars I've spent on a game, it was fun for the first 30 minutes.

The premise of this game is a game where you gather stuff for some unknown company in 3 days or you straight up get launched into orbit. Sounds like quite a cool, experimental game, right? Kind of... Look, i feel like this game should NOT be priced at 10 dollars, I was waiting for a sale when my friends basically began acting like douche bags because I was being reasonable and didn't want to spend so much on a game that I wasn't even sure on getting since I don't play many horror games. So for anybody who failed English and are too lazy to read further. I am not a fan of this game due to the ridiculous price and I don't like horror games.

Now, to the part where I ACTUALLY criticise the game. The graphics of this game are HORRENDOUS, like eye-straining. Look, I like my retro 3D/2D games, heck I have a lot of hours on Sonic Mania. but this games art style genuinely hurts my eyes, the annoying lighting at some parts give me migraines. I feel like the graphics would be completely fine if I didn't get blinded every time i played this game. The gameplay of this game gets really boring quite quick, in my 3 hours of playing this game, I have had 0 parts where I was genuinely getting a excited rush through my body as monsters chase me, as for me, I have seen ONLY 2 monsters in the ENTIRETY of my 3 hours, which I'm pretty sure were the same ones, I got SO BORED so fast and SO TIRED of this game because NOTHING happened. I've forgotten the name of all the maps but you know that one forest map? (That could be hard to narrow it down) but I straight up got stuck on an Island because i thought there would be SOMETHING there but I straight up had to DROWN MYSELF just so I could spectate my idiotic friends do nothing for 10 minutes.

TL;DR: The games overpriced, and boring as hell.

10 bucks honestly still is fine. Also hey, you can get a refund, so that's cool.
I'd argue the meat and potatoes of the game is having voice proximity and how immersive it is, but considering your 'idiotic friends' and how they pressured you into getting it, to me it's a friend issue and not a game issue.
My opinion though, it sucks that you had a bad time with the game. Have a cookie 🍪

I thought it was 2 hours? I might try it again one day, because it was a cool idea and could be good now because all these updates.

Im having fun, sure there are some slow moments, it's because of the rng, but there are also games with a lot of monsters/traps, if you want it hard you should try to pick moons like eclipse etc.. I think the price is worth, i paid like 6/7 because of the recent discount, still if you don't like horror games then don't buy horror games. The game is in early access so it will get updates, but if you want more there are a lot of mods, if i remember right some of them improve the graphics too, one of the best things on this game is the modded content

I understand where OP is coming from. It is an Oke game.

I personally love horror games, but I do not find this scary at all. Probably because the graphic style simply does not immerse me much. Besides the poor graphics, it is very repetitive. The same concrete hallways and metal staircases and so far also a lot of the same monsters or other dangerous things.

At least the game was pretty cheap and it can be fun to see how far to get with the quota.

I also played this only in VR. The VR mod works perfect.

How about you skip your next McD meal? Then you can afford it, your body will thank you for it too, and we don't have to hear about you not having enough money for a cheap game.

Win or lose, isn't OP's fault that the visuals cause eyestrain/migraines depending on the person and neither is it the games fault.

Most of the things you hate are the things people like,
1. Graphics are ugly for me too, i agree, and i would prefer a game with better graphics but that adds to the atmosphere of old game/ lonely feeling, plus the high contrast marks a difference between being in the dark and having light
anyways if i had a chance to change it, i would
2. Maybe you play too shy(?) or dont explore enough if you have only seen 2 monsters in 3 hours, if you explore more you should have more encounters
3. So mad that even you call your friends idiotic T . T, the spectating adds more to the fear of dying, if you could respawn then there is not punish for playing aggro

TLDR: I dont like it≠Overrrated

There's a HD LC mod. i recommend it, as for me it took around 10.3hrs to see my first bracken and other creatures beside coil-head, hoarding bug, spore lizard, snare flea, dogs, giant. and the baboon hawks. and yes my first encounter was on a eclipsed vow or march.
