Sure, it can be annoying at times, but also adds variety in your encounters and in how to approach situations with multiple, different creatures, in the end.
Each enemy has some kind of way to alleviate its pressure, in the end.
For example, Coil heads can some times be permanently locked behind blast doors in the facility layout ( which is the best counter to them, since they're not a threat anymore, and also still occupy 1 power level for the remainder of the game, thus preventing other creatures to replace them, compared to killing a monster ).
Even in the Mansion layouts you can do something against them: close a door in front of one ( they take about 10 seconds to open it ) then run as far away as possible, while closing any other door on your way; if you get far enough, they should lose track of you and go back to their patrolling state, giving ya more breathing room.
In general, communicating with the team about any monster's presence is extremely helpful, and I'd take that as a rule of thumb.
