Item Suggestion: Flare Gun
Would be semi-cheap, does little damage to enemies other than the slimes who combust into a big, team shredding explosion. Mainly used as a light reference in hard to see areas for communication without radio

I wouldn't mind this as an item, maybe not the slime killing aspect. But I have friends who get lost in a paper bag so having a way to somewhat help them locate base when its hard to see or to light up a corridor for a brief period of time doesn't sound bad. +1

Slime killing optional but I think a if priced right it could be a fair, if time and money consuming counter to the issue of a single slime blocking an important hallway.

Since Coil-Heads combust into flames when dissected/disabled to prevent deconstruction(bestiary) that means they are extremely flammable. If the Flare could be used to kill anything it should be them because it fits.

Slimes shouldn't be killed by flares but maybe lured by them. The bestiary notes that they are drawn to heat so it could work, but they are basically indestructible in lore.

Fair nuff, a lure seems better fit for slimes. Coil heads are a bit of a trickier beast and I'm hesitant to rope it in with the flare gun as they'd be a lot more effective as weapons given that role. Maybe a "pro-flare gun" could fit that role, being much more expensive but allowing you to deal ranged damage? I don't really know if ranged damage is something that should be incentivized, even as a single shot expensive weapon.
