Game Failed to launch error through EA App

it keeps telling me An Error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later.

now i got it working through Origin earlier but now it keeps asking me to use the EA App which is jank as hell apparently and cannot get rid of it on the Origin screen..
When trying to use the EA App i get this error and cant find a way to fix it :S

This workaround doesn't work anymore - they force the update to EA App on you now. Played for an hour earlier - same issue now. GG.

Same for me, contacted Steam support to refund the EA Play subscription : nope.
Contacted EA support : "can't see your EA Play subscription".

So here i am, played 1 hour, arrived at the Minato Gates, bought the game and now i can't continue my 8 hours left.

my guess is there is an issue between steam and EA Play Trial, has anyone tried downloading and launching exclusively through the EA App and ignoring steam ?

yeah, when I first bought the game, via steam, i had not installed it yet and I launched EA App. There was an option there to download the game to default EA directory. I closed the app down though and installed through steam. Now the app knows I have the game installed and "download" is no longer there.

I could uninstall through steam, then try re-install via EA App. Sadly I am not in front of that PC right now to try.

All it does is trick idiots into thinking it can download faster than Steam

Either they fixed it or the solution was to uninstall on steam, close EA app, run EA app as admin, and reinstall on steam. It now detects I have play subscription so we should be good to go...

tried the uninstall -> reinstall method and the EA app is still giving problems
