I know 80c GPU Temp is Normal But still...
I even lowered the quality and the resolution, no changes with the temp
Geez this game is much more demanding that Resident Evil 8 LMAO

Yeah I noticed that too. It makes 'some' sense in gameplay areas since I'm playing at 4k @144hz. But whats odd is that it still uses a lot of GPU power even in dialogue scenes which shouldnt be anywhere near that intensive.

Whats your GPU? I'm running a 6800 XT in zero fan mode and my temps never go over 40c.

My 1650 seems to stay at 73c at high settings, odd. You might want to clean your pc, dust can cause temperature to rise too.

I don't think so, my idle is at 40c, but playing the game it's at 82c
This is some weird ♥♥♥♥

Is your framerate uncapped? I've been playing at 1080p 60fps and I don't think I've ever seen it go above 60c on my 1070.

i don't know, is there an option in the game to lock it at 60?

Maybe it defaults to your monitors refresh rate. The steam overlay should tell you if you have the fps metrics enabled.

i have a 165hz monitor...

I just tested 60hz vs 144hz and the framerate is indeed tied to your refresh rate. So your game is trying to hit 165fps everywhere which would explain the excess heat. You can lower your refresh rate through windows or see if any of the framerate limiter options in the nvidia control panel would help.

That's not the issue in this case.

As for high refreshrate or not, the problem here is that hitting 144/165 fps n 2D dialogue scenes or the world map shouldnt cause the gpu to have to work this hard.

Because 2D cutscenes are set in 3D modeled spaces, which is why it ends up using stupid amounts of GPU.
You can figure out the cause easily by: Seeing one character on screen, then see two, then see how high the usage is with 3.
(The world map being like that makes no sense though)
