you literally want to turn gigantic into smite, why you don't go to smite then?
The game originally fell under because they didn't have a consistent enough revenue stream since the mtx were so relatively understated and they gave a lot of stuff away. With a 20 buck tag, they can have at least some guaranteed income, and with it being a paid game, they may also choose to go the route of Game Pass or the PS alternative for that bag from the big boys in the industry. I'd personally rather pay a one and done 20 and get a game that clearly has passion invested in it than another f2p game with ludicrous mtx and a content stream made just to justify the f2p model.
Considering what happened to the game before, I don't think Gearbox would have greenlit this game coming back if they were just going to let it die for a quick buck, otherwise Battleborn would still be around. At least in this case you pay 20 bucks once at that's that, rather than potentially paying hundreds for mtx that disappears once things go south.
pretty sure you can just go into the files and tweak it if i recall
Not going to sugar coat it, but can we have the ability to host our own dedicated servers? For one good reason, Gigantic never had that and because of it the game became vaporware for 6 years.
Supply simply that and you'll win me over with a purchase. I won't ever have to worry about the game becoming abandon-ware ever again.
Why even ask? Truth of the matter is that I don't think I can take my hopes and heart being smashed again, lived through enough truly dead and gone games to know better.
Also beyond the bellyaching above, I think $20 is a fair price for a complete package. :)
