This is a necessary enhanced edition for the next gen consoles.
Maybe not for PC, but I am happy that I can buy it on either PS5 and Xbox Series X, get a proper HDR support, better resolution and framerate.

If you are not interested, then please just skip to another game.

I’m super happy about the enhancements (https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2023/03/03/outer-worlds-spacers-choice-edition/) and will happily pay ten dollars for this.

I love this game.

Just ignore the trolls. People who hang out at forums for games they hate are just sad and miserable.

They’ll be gone in a week.

Point of a console is to put in a game and play it without worrying that it 1) won't run 2) run bad 3) need constant updates

Of course this was true only for nintendo, ps1, ps2, ps3 era after that the borders became fuzzy but at least you still don't need to worry about hardware. On top of that most gamers worldwide prefer console while pc gaming is behind them (something like 60% console, 40% pc).

Guess you have missed a point that this is a pc platform forum, for a pc game. Nobody here cares if this game with a performance update is being released primary for the or because of next gen consoles . For us we have to pay for a performance patch. If it would come out as a free patch no one would complain. And people have a right to complain, because big companies like Take-Two are greedy (read what they did with Kerbal Space Program creators), it won't stop them from being greedy and it definitely won't stop people complaining about their practises.

No one can decide for you.
We can point and laugh, but it's always up to you.

Let's get this straight though, It's not an enhancement.
They didn't even bother to add any ray tracing, it's all tech that was console generations old even when this game first released that only makes the game look a little different.
On PC you already had HDR support through auto HDR, you could already play it at any resolution and at whatever framerate your GPU could handle.
They even cut ingame assets at 26 seconds into their own trailer, I guess if they cut enough assets that might up the framerate but that's definitely not an FPS increasing 'enhancement' like adding DLSS and FSR would be.

They're much cheaper, ideal for TV/living room setups, and in the PS5's case, has some damn solid exclusives. It's worth it if you have the money and play a lot of non-FPS games imo.
