Ultrawide support
The original release didn't have ultrawide support, and when I contacted a developer about it, he literally said it was impossible to do. Not long after modders made a full ultrawide fix for free.

So now that a 3-year old game is getting a remaster (seriously?) and old owners still have to pay for it instead of receiving it as free update, can we at least expect the inclusion of such a basic feature in the remaster, or do we have to rely on mods again?

I'll buy the game if ultrawide resolutions are properly supported.

You need to own all DLCs and then, upgrade to the Space's Choice edition for ten dollars, then you have to wait a bit, and they'll release another improvement patch that you need to buy for 10 extra dollars which unlocks the Ultrawide support DLC that will be sold separately for only 15 extra bucks.

Well, if you don't care about the overall stretching of the viewmodel, and switching to 16:9 pillarboxed view during dialogs, menus and cutscenes, I guess you could say it's "supported".

BTW there's a trainer that fixes all that for the current version, I just hope this edition will remove the need for it.

If you really were a fan of this game then you’d know that the developer has already stated that 21:9 cannot be supported due to engine constraints.

21:9, btw, would have been patched in. This edition is not a patch. It doesn’t ‘fix’ things. Rather, it enhances the game.

It’s an enhancement, not a patch. Some of you are really struggling with the concept here.

As an ultrawide user, I concur.

As long as people back these practices, they'll become the norm.

Engine constraints? It's Unreal Engine 4. Practically every UE4 game I've ever played has supported ultrawide natively without issue. Also plenty of "enhancements" as you put it have added technical features that were absent in the original version. Most of these enhancements tend to be free on PC so it should be expected that a paid enhancement should go above and beyond in supporting things that the original did not at the very least.

Not only can The Outer Worlds be modded to support 21:9 ultrawide, it can be modded to support 32:9 super ultrawide and looks great. This is an extremely arbitrary and disingenuous argument to make.

Yeah! Show it to him, A D L! There's a difference between not wanting to do something and finding excuses to really not being able to do something.

You just posted a video in which 21:9 is clearly not working. It’s weird that you don’t understand that.

Then again, you don’t seem to understand that this isn’t a patch, so at least you’re consistent, I guess.

What an utterly weird thing to say, either from you or the developer (if they really did say as you claim).

The game in made in Unreal so 21:9 is supported by the engine.

The original game can be modded to support 21:9.
