DualSense native support - DON'T use steam input.
Some people are not aware that Steam Input emulates xbox/generic controller and disables DualSense native support in games. Some games also requires wired connection to get all DualSense features like haptic feedback.

Just to let you know. Make sure to disable steam input as it makes DualSense to act as a generic controller.

Had the same problem with my PS5 controller. Disabling steam input and then launching the game through Big Picture mode fixed it for me though, give that a try maybe?

not working from ps4 dualshock :(
When using Dualsense, it's best to have steam input disabled as a default and only enable it for games that don't support it.

Yeah, does not seem to be working for DualShock (PS4).
Game entry on Steam itself says:

Full Controller Support
Xbox Controllers
DualSense Controllers

DualShock is not on that list.

Not working on dualshock and have the icons of xbox (mapping by steam). Pretty anoying. I play some game that just have the option to switch the icons... Pretty easy to develop I think.
Also make sure that your dualsense is enabled (!!!) in your sound's settings in the control panel, otherwise haptic feedback won't work. It's because Dualsense is using driver which is recognized as audio speaker by windows for some reason.

So you need:
1) connect DS via cable
2) keep the Dualsense Playback Audio Driver enabled and as "Call default" via the control panel

haptic feedback still not working. i don't know why. in oblivion remastered the same. is this a UE5 problem? a windows or steam bug?

I just launch Steam in big picture mode and it seems to automatically solve this issue.

Doesn't use haptics, only rumble.

If the game is listed here -
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_that_support_PlayStation_adaptive_triggers
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Controller:DualSense_Edge#Games_with_adaptive_trigger_and_haptic_feedback_support - then it should work just fine - as long as Steam Input is disabled and everything is set up correctly (which can be a bit tricky) like I mentioned before. As you can see, there are many games with adaptive triggers support, but barely any with haptics.

Also, be sure to check which driver your Windows is using for the DualSense controller. If it shows up as "Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB audio" (like this - https://imgur.com/xAu8Ecs ) instead of "DualSense Wireless Controller," you should disable it to make sure everything works properly.

Thank you for this, was going crazy trying to remember the xbox inputs. Exited the game, disabled steam input and relaunched it and it works!

I noticed a lot japanese games has the option, but western devs usually leave it out. Hopefully someone makes a simple mod because devs never adds the option

The downside of having this as an option is that people may select PlayStation prompts but keep steam input in steam settings and emulate generic controller instead of getting premium haptic feedback and other exclusive features of DualSense.
