Add Japanese voices and text for customers outside Japan

It's 2023. There are non-Japanese people who speak Japanese, too. And also Japanese people living abroad. Stop limiting the language to just one country.

yep, that's weird from sony, they can at least let people download different versions of the game if they're outside Japan and want to play JP version with censored stuff

No, licensing Japanese voices for other regions can get REALLY weird.

We can end up like FFX where the Japanese voices are in the game but locked out unless you're in Japan or Southeast Asia.

Japan having its own version of TLOU is probably due to violence ratings more than anything, though.

It's not a xenophobic slur in many European country, it's used as the same way we use Brit or else for other country.
That's why the fact that 'murican think it's racist is crazy it was used 60/70 year ago as a slur, but most country never gave any care to this.

Hey, if anyone here is still trying to do this it's actually really easy. Just go to the pkgconfig.txt file in the game's Steam folder and change the line "sku=row" to "sku=jp"
You will now have the Japanese localization, and that also means censored dismemberment//.

This only handles text. menus and subtitles fyi. For full voicing ig you need the Jp files in the tts1 and speech 1 folder as well, otherwise even if you pick Japanese speech setting it will still play English.

the 1.1.2 verions work on newer 1.3.1 version just fine add the voice in speach and menua and sub in ttls1
