Purging Blade & Flame of 12,000 Angels are really bad
Not sure if Atlus meant for these two passives to be insanely bad, but since the original version of the game on Switch came out, I have always wanted to make Abdiel work in meaningful fights. So when Vengeance was released & I saw Abdiel's passive, I was excited thinking she could finally maybe dish out damage like some of the other demons you see in superboss videos


Well! I immediately noticed that Abdiel's damage kind of .. sucks. Today I took the time to test these skills & make sure I'm not just imagining things. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but both Purging Blade & Flame of 12,000 Angels should affect Abdiel's damage output if she strikes an enemy's weakness, no?

The Abdiel I have in my party has Elec Pleroma, High Elec Pleroma, +9 Elec Affinity, Critical Zealot, & of course the Purging Blade passive.

Am I misunderstanding these passives? How do they work? Only a ~1.1-1.2x increase in damage? That's.... really pathetic. Sorry Abdiel, they did you insanely dirty :( :SMT5V_Nahobino:

The precise multiplier is 1.15.

It's the same thing with "Nine-Day Restoration" (Serpent Nuwa's passive) - only a 1.1x increase for hitting weaknesses, but at least it doesn't require a specific Race to be present.
