God, I hate how DLC demons are broken af half the time
Atlus: Hey, so let's just create a DLC demon that is literally just Idun, but her unique skill is better AND she has an actual innate skill that has stupidly good synergy with her unique skill. Meanwhile, let us also nerf Golden Apple so Idun is even more outclassed.

Oh right, Cleopatra is also free to obtain now, so nerf the hell out of her. Cool.

Don't forget that Sakuya's race means she can safely pair up with best debuffer Beelzebub!

I didn't play the original and got all DLC automatically because I got the deluxe edition:
I was a bit disappointed that right after working to make a really good Idun because GApple sounded crazy good, I found Sakuya that had all the skills I had to chain fuse just there already and added MP heal on top.
Cleopatra, however, is super good? Her debuff is crazy and she also gets luster candy, I'm finding myself not even using Sakuya anymore because Cleo covers both buff and debuff. I actually forgot what the second DLC demon was and was thinking it must have been Cleo based on power, lol.

I mean It's a single-player game, nothing forces you to play them. At worst, you can fuse them to remove them and that will at least give you a nice fight :SMT5V_JackFrost:
I defeated Cleopatra around level 45 I almost never used her in my team until I had at least reached her level

I don't find Artemis stronger than Yoshitsune, the same goes for Mephisto; there are demons equivalent to or even better than him on his level imo

Every online pic I see of forum posts or streamers playing the game is almost always a full starting party of DLCs demons. I can understand using them for superbosses but for the whole duration of rest of the game since you unlocked them??

The condition for Beelzebub's innate is a big reason why I love having Amabie around as one of my endgame support demons (other than the fact I just really like Amabie as a demon; S tier Doi design)

It frustrates me that there isn't an option to fully disable bundled DLC. Even buying immediately on release didn't let me avoid having the preorder bonus cheat items forced into my inventory. I can tolerate the Demi-fiend DLC for the challenge, but Cleopatra adds negative value to a save file.

You can opt to not use her.

Cleo's not even that good this time around. I didn't bother getting the dlc demons until just before wrapping up the first playthrough. Didn't use them then either. They aren't by any means "must use" levels of good.

This is an insane take. The preorder 'cheat items' are all but worthless, and neither Demi-fiend nor Cleopatra are even DLC. lmao.

Both of those were DLC in vanilla.

Artemis is pretty strong, you can get her fairly early, and she's got good resists which you can transfer to your main character. You won't get a better resist essence than Artemis for another 30 levels at least.

In case you don't know, Artemis, Cleopatra, and Mephisto were originally DLC demons in Vanilla SMT V.

Considerably higher spawns for those magatama mobs is far more broken than anything else you get from the DLC IMO. It's crazy, if I have them all turned on and walk around, most of the enemies on the map are those magatamas, I can just take my pickings of all the juicy pinatas on the map, I don't even have to target farm them, they're everywhere. I need an aoe almighty attack before I can really capitalize on them, I think the earliest monster that gets megido is Thoth? Thoth looks good, he's definitely on my list of early-mid roster candidates.

True the increase in Mitama spawn rate is crazy, but Anyone who's able to control themselves and only grind as needed will tell you that the dlc is a time saver, it doesn't break the game if you can control your compulsion. I didn't bother farming them until I get to the super bosses.

I tend to fuse supports and healers more in early-mid game. The fact that I wasn't actively farming mitamas early-mid game is the reason why I never think Megido was needed for me. They're weaker offensive skills in general because they don't reliably generate more press turns and also have weaker damage output. Megido and its heavy attack equivalent are useless in this game even in late game since piercing elemental skills like Trisagion are everywhere. If I come across four mitamas in a single battle I'd just pick one and use spyglass on them. At least until I unlocked Amon/Khonsu Ra.
