any chances we're getting a SMT IV port?

ok, listen to me. Shin Megami Tensei IV is an underrated game. Many people didn't get the chance to play it because it was tied to the Nintendo 3DS. And we also have SMT Apocalypse, which is also great game and essential do IV main story.
I wonder if Atlus is interested in bringing out a port of these games now that they are focused on selling more and reviving their exclusives for the current generation?

Would concur having those games too as Ports.

Although i wouldn't say Apocalypse is essential to IV Main Story or to understand it. It just tells a different story where the MC from Apocalypse gets revived and thus sets in motion events that leads to an alternative fate (some would say that if he remained dead, the original timeline would happen)

Its btw funny that Apocalypse divided the Fanbase due to what people described as "Persona" Influence but the QoL Changes especially to the Smirk Mechanic is very welcome. It's still a good game even if the story may not reach the same height as original IV.

A Port of Strange Journey Redux is also interesting since it upgrades the original NDS Game and i would love to see it here too

Some AI upscaling would help in this case, or just putting a bit more work in general to make a remaster, not everything needs to be a remake.

it could totally work. 4K texture packs already exist for smt 4 on citra to use and it looks great

Capcom is going to port the MonHun Stories Games from 3DS to Steam:

Except the 3DS is now a dead system, and it sucks playing on a tiny screen with essentially a controller that's too small. Port it to pc and it can last a very long time.

They literally ported Etrian odissey though. No big remake, just a little hd coat was all it took.

I play this game on Citra with 4k textures made by fans, and believe me, it's gorgeous. The only downside is the separated screen. But a remaster would be enough since they can move this 2nd screen to make everything in one large screen. It doesn't need a remake, it's a 2013 game!
Also, it has one of the best SMT soundtracks ever. Honestly they are losing money by forgetting this game exists, we can't even buy it anymore cause 3ds eshop closed for good.

Thing is, we're not privy to the Numbers how well SMT Games are selling in the World or how SMT5 did well on Switch alone. If the Effort porting/re-engineering everything is higher than predicted sales, they won't waste any money on it

Nowadays it seems like Persona is replacing the Main Series due to its more approachable Gameplay/Story than SMT which is more dark/depressive and especially in older games obtuse at certain degrees

I really wish community managers etc. would just talk with us and tell us if certain games can be remade or not due to lower sales prediction etc.

sorry but I do not agree with you. Persona and SMT are different games, and one doesn't replaces another. Also, we're getting rerelease of SMT V, which means SMT is more alive than ever.
