SMT monster collect when persona is school sim lol
However, whenever you face a boss far stronger that stops your progress, in a common JRPG you would end up grinding levels and more levels to beat the boss, but in SMT you can just fuse your demons so they can counter his attacks or attack his weaknesses and give you the high end on the battle, which of is one of the grand positive things about any SMT/Persona game.
Another interesting point of this game is that, instead of having pocket monsters based on animals in real life, you use demons/entities/deities/gods from other mythologies/religions/folklores to battle, if you're a big fan of mythologies you can expect to fight againt and alongside Zeus, Loki, Asura, Persephone, Thor, Pretas, Pixie, the 4 elements of Paracelsus, and etc. Which is something i like the most in these games.
And yep, that's just the tip of the iceberg, really. There is a lot of fun stuff to do in this game XD
doesn't encourage you to form a bond with the demons either. you want to use, abuse, and fuse
