Turning off certain emotes?

You know, it's fine seeing a stranger's face once or twice in a match, but it really begins to bother when someone I don't care about start spamming their face for no good reason. Who's idea is this? Is it like, advertisement or something?

Im sure they gained some viewers with this event, but anyone similar to me, would be instantly turned off. I will never visit moists channel simply because of the Emote. It tells me the guy behind the emote, is the type I would not like to associate with.

This comment is stupid. The emote is just a meme. Moist is actually a pretty down to earth and chill guy. The event wasn't for the creators to get publicity. It was for the game. I can guarantee there are thousands of players who only play because their favorite creator was featured in the event and talked about the game. Are you actually turned off of a game and a creator because of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ emote? Get real.

try putting yourself in someone else's shoes. we don't know why the emote triggers us. it just does

They dont seem to accept that. We are fully honest about it, but its like trying to get someone to explain to you why they find Fran's voice annoying. You either do or dont, its hard to explain to those that dont, or cant understand.

I guess a good way to explain it, would be the emote is annoying like Kamala's laugh is annoying. Same kind of deal.

Blocking emotes does not remove the ability of others to use them.

It's no different than muting a player or disabling chat. I enjoy no chat but a frequent argument of those who pine for it is that it can be muted/disabled. So...what's the problem with disabling emotes?

Simply pointing out that blocking emotes does not change how people communicate, because it doesn't stop people from emoting. (It's not a gag, it's ear plugs.) The people emoting just have to be OK with no one listening. :D

Skin, emotes, effects, all these cosmetics aren't just for your eyes, they're a social feature and if others can just block them, it would be kinda pointless.

They're nowhere comparable to a "chat" because a dev can't really control what people say in the chat so, a mute is necessary but they can control what cosmetics goes in the game. If such cosmetic was actually "offensive" then I think they would've removed it already.
